Frequently asked questions

Is the flight between Egypt and Jordan included?

International flights between Egypt and Jordan are not included in the ground package price. We can quote these separately, or you can book them. The usual route is Luxor (LXR) to Amman (AMM), connecting through Cairo (CAI).

How much walking is involved in Petra?

The main trail through Petra to the Treasury and beyond is approximately 4 km (2.5 miles) each way on an uneven, sandy surface. A full day can involve 8-12 km of walking. We pace the day accordingly, but clients should have a good level of mobility.

Can we use a dahabiya instead of a standard Nile cruise?

Yes, the 4-night Nile cruise can be replaced with a dahabiya sailing. This would alter the itinerary duration and pacing, as dahabiyas typically sail for longer. We can provide a custom proposal based on this preference.

What is the visa process for both countries?

For most nationalities, visas for both Egypt and Jordan can be obtained upon arrival at the airport. For Jordan, the Jordan Pass is a highly recommended option as it includes the visa fee and entry to Petra and other sites. We advise checking the latest regulations for your clients' specific nationality before travel.
